Mike Atkins is the senior pastor of the Chapel at River Crossing. The Chapel is a church with a diverse congregation, reaching a unique population of global travelers from around the world.

Mike is an anointed worshipper and gifted teacher of the Word of God, whose inspiring style of communication has led him before a variety of audiences. His call to proclaim God's Word has taken him to China, Korea, Europe, Scandinavia, Great Britain, Africa, India, Central America, the Caribbean and Israel.

Having served in pastoral ministry for nearly 30 years, Mike brings a balance of evangelistic passion, a worshipper’s heart, and revelational teaching.

Mike is also the founder of River Crossing; a unique, developing, church-based event center that utilizes music and performing arts to touch the millions of tourists passing through his hometown of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Mike and his wife have three daughters, a son-in-law and a grandson.

 

Tim is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Corporate Communications and presently working on his Master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Regent University.

Tim loves to rock climb, (he's built a practice rock wall in one of the River Crossing storage areas for the youth) hike, camp, read and just about anything guys love doing.

He is an Eagle Scout and loves working with the Middle School, High Scool and Young Adult population in Jackson Hole.

Tim serves as president of the local Jackson Youth Alliance made up of the youth leaders of several local churches.

Tim's also actively involved in the introduction of YOUNGLIFE into the Jackson Hole area this year.

Tim and his wife Micah have one son, Thearon Norman Gray

Patty Atkins serves as the Director of Small Groups Ministries at The Chapel @ River Crossing. This important Ministry involves the training, communication, promotion and implementation of the small groups initiative at River Crossing. These groups are the backbone of the growing "Ministry of Community". (Read More Chapel Menu Button RE: "Community")

In addition to coordinating small groups at River Crossing, Patty serves as the wedding director as well as coordinating bereavement services.

Patty comes from a theatrical background having worked in the film industry for many years both on the West Coast and East Coast. She began in front of camera as an actress and model having worked with the Atlanta Performing Arts Center on stage.

She eventually migrated into the film industry working on both commercials and major motion pictures as a freelance production person.

In addition to her tireless work in the church Patty is married to Mike Atkins, Senior Pastor of The Chapel @ River Crossing, and has been busy "producing" the lives of their three daughters over the past 20 plus years.

 

Eddie was on the road for many years with various music groups, as well as being a studio musician. Ordained into ministry in 1980, he has served in leadership for churches in Iowa, South Carolina, Louisiana and Colorado. Eddie and Nancy now make their home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he is Worship Leader at RIVER CROSSING He also continues an active recording and concert schedule around the country, including performing as the MUSIC DIRECTOR for the annual JAMES BURTON INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL in SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA.

 

Heidi is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Wyoming and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Heidi offers fee-based counseling as a member of the River Crossing staff. She specializes in marriage and family counseling but is trained to address issues outside of these specializations when necessary as well as offer referrals to local and regional help agencies.

Heidi is presently on sabbatical after the birth of her newest little girl. She will be back after the first of the year to offer her counseling services.

 

Julie McKnight studied Graphic Design and Marketing at Miami University in Ohio. Her studies also included poster design at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, Czech Republic and Typography at the University of Reading, England.

After graduating, Julie moved to San Francisco, California, where she was employed by Industrial Light & Magic, George Lucas' movie special effects studio. As a member of the art department there, she worked on many films including Star Wars, The Mummy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Pearl Harbor.

As an independent freelance Graphic/Web/ Product Designer and Consultant, Julie's experience includes corporate identity, signage, packaging, promotional materials, and custom product design for specialty shops such as GUMPS in SF and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY.

Five years ago, Julie and her husband, Nathan, moved to Jackson Hole. Today they live in Victor, Idaho with their daughter, Jessy, and their German Shepherd. Together, their passions in the Tetons range from climbing, skiing, biking, and the Arts.
